Our Team

Chris Vick

Chairman

Chris Vick doesn’t just do communications; he lives and breathes it. With a foot in just about every sector (private, public, and nonprofit), he’s the kind of guy who can write a press release, train a media team, and plot a campaign strategy… all before his morning espresso kicks in.

Back in 2016, he jumped headfirst into the SAVE SA campaign, and he hasn’t looked back since. By 2020 (when the world was busy panic-buying toilet paper) Chris launched COVID Comms, a platform that evolved into the Mobilize Foundation: a powerhouse tackling the social, political, and economic elephants in the room.

In short?

Chris is your go-to guy if you’re trying to make a noise that actually matters. He’s a crisis whisperer, a strategy ninja, and a champion of justice who knows how to turn words into action—especially when South Africa needs it most.

Bomi Bukali

Executive Director: Operations

Bomi Bukali has worn more hats than a fashion week runway, across the faith, hospitality, legal eagle and customer service sectors. She’s even been a globe-trotting flight attendant for seven years (so yes, she really has seen it all)

Now, as the powerhouse Operations Director at Mobilize Agency, Bomi brings her world-class people skills, a sixth sense for systems, and a no-nonsense knack for getting things done. She’s the kind of person who can juggle spreadsheets, calm chaos, and still have time for a great story over coffee.

With a mind always two steps ahead and a heart rooted in purpose, Bomi keeps the Mobilize machine running smoother than a freshly serviced (climate-friendly) car.

David Lydall

Executive Director: Strategy

David Lydall is a strategy guy with a superpower for turning big ideas into bold actions. With over 9 years of navigating the wild worlds of business, government, and civil society, he’s led campaigns that don’t just land… they stick.

Part storyteller, part strategist, and part logistics wiz, David knows how to whip up a game-changing plan, craft content that actually gets read, and launch it into the world like a well-aimed slingshot. He doesn’t just think outside the box, he redesigns the whole box (adds Wi-Fi) and makes sure everyone knows it exists.

At Mobilize, David’s brain is basically a GPS for smart, sharp communication—and he’s got the results to prove it.

Dr Kgaladi Makhafola
